La source de la Sorgue
The source of the Sorgue River is the result of the emergence of a huge underground network. The water that gushes out comes from the infiltration of rainwater on the one hand and from the melting of snow from the south of Mont Ventoux, the Monts de Vaucluse, the Albion plateau and the Montagne de Lure on the other hand. This represents an "impluvium" of more than 1240 km2 and whose only way out is at Fontaine de Vaucluse.
A fresh and peaceful spring in summer, bubbling and impetuous in spring and autumn, the Fontaine, a true whim of nature, has been a source of curiosity and curiosity since antiquity.
