LA FORCE DU COLLECTIF
Since 1925, our "WineCrafters" have been pooling their unique know-how to reveal the best of the terroirs of the southern Rhône Valley. Their motto: to craft quality, healthy and modern wines while respecting nature and people.
A STORY OF COMMITTED MEN & WOMEN
A handful of visionary and deeply-motivated winegrowers laid down the foundations of the cooperative cellars in the Rhône Valley from the beginning of the 20th century: Rasteau in 1925, Visan in 1937, and then Vacqueyras and Beaumes de Venise in the '50s. It was a gesture of solidarity to offer the best winemaking and aging conditions for the winegrowers in their villages. At the time they were far from imagining that they were handing over the keys to what would become, around sixty years later, one of the biggest cooperative cellars of Rhône Valley wines: Rhonéa.
A SHARED VISION
Rhonéa now groups together, like one big family, almost 400 "WineCrafters" who pool their know-how based on a creative and innovative model relying on their expertise of Rhône Valley wines. They craft their terroirs in their family wine estates (averaging 8 to 10ha), and their traditional French know-how has been passed down for several generations whilst holding on to a vision marked by modernity. From Vacqueyras to Gigondas, from Beaumes de Venise to Rasteau, from Côtes du Rhône Villages to Ventoux, the wines bearing the Rhonéa signature are determinedly ethical, equitable, and strongly committed to environmental respect (label "Vignerons Engagés en RSE & Développement Durable", i.e. Winegrowers Committed to Social and Environmental Responsibility & Sustainable Development).
